A temporary reservation holds a booking for a limited time before ticketing. An unticketed reservation is not a paid airline ticket for boarding.

A booking reference identifies a reservation. It does not by itself prove that a ticket has been issued or paid for.
Temporary means time-sensitive
The provider sets the expiry date, time and time zone. Email delivery does not restart the deadline.

Is a reservation a ticket for boarding?
No. An unticketed reservation is not a paid airline ticket for boarding. A booking reference alone does not prove a ticket was issued or paid for.
Can a visa or entry outcome be promised?
No. Authorities and airlines decide their own requirements. Check the official instructions for your nationality, visa type and route.
When does a reservation expire?
The airline or reservation provider sets the actual expiry or ticketing deadline. Check the date, time, time zone and current status. Receiving an email does not extend that deadline.
How do I verify a reservation?
Use the verification method supplied by the provider that created it. Check the passenger, itinerary, ticketing status and expiry. A PDF alone does not prove a live booking exists.
